Imprinted Concrete Sealing

As homeowners look for more durable surfaces for driveways and patios, patterned imprinted concrete has become a popular choice. Across Greater Manchester and Cheshire there are many homes that have had imprinted concrete laid in preference to block paving, paving slabs or tarmac.

Imprinted concrete can look really good at first but will deteriorate over time and some element of maintenance is advisable on an ongoing basis. When first laid, imprinted concrete is sealed for added protection from wear and oil spillages. Over time the sealer will gradually wear down so it is advisable to re-seal the concrete every 3-5 years to keep it in optimum condition.

Loss of surface colour, 'cracking' and general surface deterioration are frequent problems encountered with imprinted concrete but can be put right if not left too long.
