Decking Cleaning

Decking has been installed as a patio feature across many gardens in Greater Manchester and Liverpool. Despite its popularity, it does require a fair amount of maintenance to keep it in optimum condition at all times. This is often misunderstood with the perception being that the decking is very low maintenance.

The big problem with decking is that it can deteriorate quickly, especially in the damp UK climate. In north facing areas, decking often attracts the growth of green algae and moss. If left unchecked, the moss and algae can make the surface of the decking very slippery to walk on. Exposure to the sun, wind and rain will also result in the decking losing a lot of its colour and 'sheen' over time. 

If your decking is looking a bit 'tired', we can pressure wash the wood and remove any alagae or moss that may be present. Our jet washing equipment will clean the decking without damaging the wood, which can be a problem with domestic pressure washers.

To keep the decking looking its best after we have cleaned it, we would recommend applying a good quality decking oil to protect it from deterioration
